New York City, New York (May 22, 1939 -April 19, 2018) age 78 yrs

Kiilu Nyasha, Black Panther, journalist, and revolutionary activist. She grew up in New York City and San Francisco. Nyasha lived in San Francisco’s China Town for over 40 years. In her life she met and worked with other activists like Yuri Kochiyama and Jean Bertrand Aristide. She hosted a week TV program, “Freedom is a Constant Battle,” on SF live. She writes for several publications, including the SF Bay View Newspaper and the Black Commentator. Nyasha is an accomplished radio programmer. She has worked for KPFA (Berkley). She has also worked for SF Liberation Radio, Free Radio Berkley, and KPOO in SF. Kiilu Nyasha kept doing journalism and activism right up to the time she died.
