Lois Mailou Jones was an artist and educator. Her work can be found in the collections of the National Museum of Women. It is also located at the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and Muscarelle Museum of Art. Additionally, you can find her work in The Phillips Collection. Jones is often linked with the Harlem Renaissance. Her paintings grace the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They are a part of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. Her work is displayed at the National Palace in Haiti and the National Center of Afro-American Artists, among others. After her death, her friend and adviser, Dr. Chris Chapman completed a book.
